Home / Kindergarten
Our Kindergarten program is designed for individualized instruction in Language Arts, Math, Science, Art, Nutrition and listening skills. Science is enhanced by our 4 acre outdoor environment. This multi-cultural program, with foreign interns broaden the child’s world awareness and creates public private partnerships with area schools and businesses. Our Kindergarten program:
Prepares children for first grade
Encourages outdoor exploration
Develops critical thinking skills
Nurtures creative minds
Our goal is to prepare your child with the tools he will need to successfully enter first grade. We work with the public schools our children will be attending to ensure the skills they require are addressed. Math, science and language COME ALIVE on Discovery’s four acre estate setting with classrooms outside and inside.
We give them the concrete advantage of a daily experience of exploration of nature, lots of space and land to run, jump, peddle, and sing. Math is collecting bugs, sticks, and categorizing them. Ditto papers do not teach this hands on learning reality. Critical thinking skills are constantly ignited by the environment always changing as they arrive and change it themselves through play. The value of digging in dirt, sand and or snow is fun and natural.
Children have various environments available for using their creative minds for child inspired inventive play. Stories are not just read but acted out, illustrated, photographed for continued enjoyment, enhancement and recall. Touching, feeling, hearing, smelling, tasting and communicating is how children learn. We are committed to enable that to happen–daily.
